6 Things to do During COVID-19

Things to do During COVID-19

How to stay productive during Covid-19

This is my third week in quarantine where I have been working from home and basically staying home everyday. The only times I’ve gone out is to do groceries and yes, it has been tough. In this post I’ll be sharing with you 6 things to do during covid-19.

I never thought that being home could be challenging since I love being home as is, but this situation is different. Someone telling you that you can’t be out going about your day or you’re restricted to certain things can be challenging.

Our freedom is limited. However, I do hope that you’re all staying home during this time. The sooner this situation gets controlled the faster we will all be able to get back to our normal lives. Having to stay home can be challenging, but it can also be an opportunity to try doing new things and get creative.

What are some things that you have been doing to stay productive/entertained?

As for me there is nothing crazy that I have been doing since I am still working from home, which keeps me busy most of the day. However, as of last week due to covid-19 we had to get our hours cut and we are now only working three days, which really sucks but I’m thankful to still have a job. This is temporary and hopefully we should be back to our regular schedule within the next two to three weeks.

As of last week I started working three days a week, which means I will be having a lot of free time.  I easily get entertained so it hasn’t been that challenging finding something to do, but I have been able to do certain things I had wanted to do. If you’re working from home or have been laid off this is the perfect time to focus on the things you enjoy doing and yourself.

Here are 6 things to do during Covid-19

  • Clean/organize your home or closet

Use this time to deep clean your home or room. We usually don’t have the time to do so or keep putting it off and now we have all the time so why not go through your closet and clean it out. Go through your closet and the clothes that you don’t wear/want or if you really want to get into it why not color coordinate your clothes.

  • Coloring Books

For so long I wanted an adult coloring book but never got one because I knew I wouldn’t get to it. Now that I have so much free time I got not one, but a few coloring books and I must say I love it. Coloring is very relaxing, helps keep your mind off things and is a stress reliever. Adult coloring books are not hard to find and they are also not expensive so give it a try. You can find adult coloring books at any Dollar Tree, 99 Cents Store, Target or Amazon.

  • Clean Your Camera Roll

I’m sure many of us take photos, screen shoots and now have over 1,000 photos saved. I don’t know about you but my camera roll is so full I have no more memory for anything. Deleting photos, videos can take time specially if you have thousands. Use this time to clean out your camera roll — delete those unwanted photos, videos and if you have photos you want to keep transfer them over to your computer, a hard drive or USB.

  • Home Workouts

Yes, all the gyms are close and it’s hard to workout without equipment or you’re just unmotivated but it’s good to get some exercise in and stay moving. At least for me I sit in front of a computer for hours and stay sitting down for most of the day and sometimes I get so tiered of just sitting. I would say take a jog, run or walk but I’m avoiding being outside so instead I’m doing home workouts. Luckily before all this went down I already had weights, but you can workout without any equipment. I have been going to YouTube and searching for home workout, HIIT workouts that don’t require any time of equipment just yourself.

  • Read That Book

This is the perfect time to read that book you’ve been wanting to.  A few months ago I had bought three books that I really wanted to read but somehow I just never got to them. Now that I have the time and no excuse to not read them I will be getting to them. If you don’t have that book you don’t necessarily need to go out and buy one, you can either get a digital version or an audio as well if they have it available.

  • Learn Something New

It is never too late to learn a new skill or pick up a hobby. There are many different resources out there that will allow you to take online classes for basically anything and everything you can think of. Yes, some of these resources you need to pay for and if you can why not invest in your knowledge however, there are also free resources and now you can always Google, YouTube anything. Something that I’ve been investing my time and learning during this time is how to create pins, learn more about blogging and SEO.

These are some of the things I’m doing to stay busy and productive during these tough times. I hope you enjoyed these 6 things to do during covid-19 post and you got some ideas or inspiration to help you stay moving.  Please stay home and stay safe!
